Mondo might bruise a few wallets tomorrow. The company has partnered with Sideshow Collectibles and a handful of notable poster artists to produce a set of posters for the Planet of the Apes Films. There are five prints in the series, one for each of the primary classic films. (Planet, Beneath, Escape, Conquest and Battle — sorry, Tim Burton remake fans and Rise of the Planet of the Apes lovers.)
The five prints will be sold as a set online tomorrow, Thursday January 26, with a sixth bonus print included. The price is $230; not bad at all for a Mondo poster set. Any remainders not sold as sets tomorrow will go up for sale on Friday; Sideshow Collectibles will eventually offer variants of each print on the Sideshow website.
